Learner Personas
Often learning experiences are not properly aligned to the skills, motivation, and environment of our learners. Starting with a solid learner persona helps me guide design teams and businesses to the best learning solution.
Journey Mapping
Learning journeys are often owned by many teams, each contributing to learner success throughout the 5 moments of learning need. I use journey mapping to break down silos and design experiences that utilize the expertise, tools and resources of various teams.
Task Analysis
All learning experiences must enable people to take measurable action. I use Action Mapping as a way to keep designs focused on what someone needs to do. This helps designers create action-oriented experiences and avoid creating overwhelming info-dumps.
Design and Development
Balancing Technology with the Human Experience
My goal is to make the right experiences available to the right people at the right time. Sometimes this includes leveraging tech such as xAPI, HTML, AR, or AI.
I consider many factors when investing in technology:

A formal class or e-learning is rarely the only experience needed to make someone successful. I focus on designing solutions for the right moment of need, which can occur before or after a formal learning event. This often means partnering with various teams and systems to create a streamlined experience for the learner.

As a senior experience designer and voice-over artist, I have a high standard of quality for learning experiences made by me or my team.
When working with a team of designers I create templates and examples to help them build skills and improve efficiency. I also stay ahead of design trends to make sure we are using the latest applications and tools.
Graphic and Web Design
From illustrating custom graphics to video production and animation, I love making interactions that help people learn. As an artist and musician I inject a lot of creativity into my designs.
My experience with web and app development allows me to design and develop solutions in a variety of formats.
